Pre Dyno/Tuning Checks

When you bring your car to be tuned it can be a big investment of both your time and money. We want this to be a positive experience for you therefore have come up with a check list that can help you save time and money.

Check Engine & Gearbox Fluid Levels

Check coolant level

Fuel level in tank is full or has 40 Litres at least

Vehicle has a suitable 02 sensor bung fitted for our wideband sensor to be installed into? This is usually located on the dump pipe of a turbo vehicle or after the collector of an NA vehicle. *If one is not fitted this can be organized prior to vehicle being fitted to the dyno.*

Check there are no fuel, oil or water leaks on the vehicle.

Ensure Locknut tool is within vehicle & easily accessible.

Highly recommend installing a new set of spark plugs into your vehicle before the tune (Commonly gapped to 0.7mm for turbo cars)

Check intercooler piping & joiners – insure all hose clamps are tight & that there are no leaks in the system, including the inlet manifold. *We can perform pressure testing to ensure there are no leaks prior to the tune if required.*

By performing all these basic checks we hope to avoid any issues whilst your car is on the dyno/being tuned! But sometimes unforeseen issues can arise at the time of tuning, we will do our best to rectify these or discuss them with you if it becomes necessary.
